Hello all,

Well my new 2230 arrived on Sat around 10:30 am and I have been playing ever since. I want to thank everyone who answered my questions and offered advice. I been spending some quality time with the machine and also practicing my FEL skills on the piles of snow around here (moving snow is a great way to practice, low impact while learning).

I also want to throw out a thanks to the delivery guy from Emerich’s Sales and Service. He spent 1 ½ hours going over the entire machine and giving me great tips on operation and maintenance.
I will no doubt have questions the more familiar I get with the machine, but I know I can count on all of you for help.
I’ve posted a few pics for those interested. Thanks again

Mike

Nice looking machine. Did the dealer put the lights on the ROPS? Gerard

Nice setup!!!
You will probably want to drop the bagger and mower sometime soon- if we keep getting big snowstorms and you're out playing (err- working). Your neighbors might start to wonder about you- they probably won't understand 'seat time'!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks guys! Yes the dealer did install both of the lights for me. I know I could have done it cheaper myself but the cost is small when figured in with everything else. They are the upgraded lights that are used on some of the bigger machines. I believe they are 55 watt lights

I don’t have any rear attachments as of yet and the bagger/blower can be a pain to remove and re-attach so let the neighbors think what they want.

The dealer did mention that the unit is pretty heavy so it will help and add a little ballast when using the FEL

Congrats! Nice lookin' setup, but I don't see any snowblower. Isn't MA where all the big storms have been landing this year???

The snowblower is mounted under the tractor and the snow catcher is located on the rear of the tractor. Just wonder how much snow those bags can hold... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I thought that rear attachment vaporized the snow and it blew away as a cloud?? Isn't there a propane tank and burner in there somewhere??

I'd be interested in a close look at the mounting of the lights on the rops.

I would love to have one of those canopies to since a cab is out of the question. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Great looking rig Congratulations. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I find it best to remove the blower tube when using the mower deck for moving snow. With the bagger attached and running it just piles the snow behind you /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif BUT with the tube removed you can wind row it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif JUST LIKE A PLOW!

Well ok it probably wouldn't work, but it sure would make the neighbors talk!

Nice looking machine, and the canopy sets if off nicely.

The mower deck and the blower tube came off right after the pics. I’m leaving the back bagger attachment on for now.

Hopefully we will see some grass around here soon, we have received about 90” of snow in this area so far, not counting the 4” or so we will be receiving today and some on the way for Friday.

I moved further South of Boston BECAUSE they do not receive that much snow, I’m ready to stick my head into one of the 8ft snow banks and end it all!

TOMNKY, I will take a close-up picture of the lights and post it, give me a day or two. I would like to get a hold of just the brackets and use them to help mount a toolbox to the ROPS. I’m going to give the dealer a call and see what he can do.

I really like the canopy as well and it seems to be well made

Nice rig. I wonder how well the grass catcher is doing with wet grass. I guess I'll have to wait to know. If others have information about the grass catcher, go ahead I'd like to know.

You'll like the power steering to mow.

Good choice /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
