New BX1860 Deck confusion

Hi All,
Just ordered my new BX1860 with the FEL and 54" standard deck today. (Cant wait till saturday, feel like a kid again) anyway, I forgot to ask the dealer today about mulching kits for the deck and now after reading the forum it looks like i may not be able to get a mulching kit for the standard 54" deck, is this correct? do I have to have the "fine cut" deck in order to use the mulching kit.

I just got my bx2360 and also got the standard 54", i read and did not like what i learned about the mulching kit so went with the standard, and you can get real nice mulching blades for the deck, little dry here but so far mine seems to cut real nice and fine as it is stock. Best of luck with your delivery and new tractor, congrats!! post some photos when you get it.I am only a week into mine and had the loader off a couple times, get easier each time !! I have yet to remove the deck but will soon.

I've got a standard cut 60" deck and got a mulching kit for it. I'm pretty sure you can get them for a 54" also. I'm pretty happy with it, but they aren't cheap, but you do get a lot of new baffles, so you get a lot of stuff for the moeny.

When I was shopping for my BX I asked about mulching kits for the 54" and 60" decks. Salesman said the kit was available for either one. I have not bought the kit, so far I've been happy without it.
