Thanks all for the welcome! I used new bee for the title for this since I am a 7 year veteran of keeping bees. I do not profess to be a farmer and I have much to learn about the stewardship of my land and the machinery that will help me accomplish my goals. Last year I got hooked up with some 7th generation American Chestnut trees and planted 60 of them in a plot. I have my fingers crossed that they will take and become prolific. Wish me luck.

Welcome. I do hope the chestnut trees work out. I haven't seen a chestnut tree around here for many decades.

I called the American Chestnut Foundation about six months ago to inquire about planting two acres of Chestnuts. The guy was such a jack *** I decided not to bother.
