New Barn: Lights--8' fixtures vs shop floods (50x50)

Love my Costco 4ft LEDs for my shop/garage! Paid $25ea for the pair and fixture. Bright white light and instant full on. No more fluorescents for me!

How long have you had your Costco LED lights? I've seen them at Sams, but I worry about the quality of what they sell there.

Since shortly after xmas. Full disclosure not used daily as I travel for business but use in unheated garage. Some hard wired to a switch. A couple by pull chain. No issues, noise, heat generation, or slow start ups. Bright white light. Decent packaging and protective film on each bulb that I almost failed to remove. No instructions on that and I almost didn't notice during mounting. Easy to flush mount by making a simple template and using screws with oversized heads. I did open up the large end of the keyholes on the backside of the fixture for a more secure mount. Not necessary but just what I did.

I put up the same lights about the same time in garage and workshop. No issues. But I didn't notice the plastic wrap! They are already much brighter than the old fluorescent fixtures. Will have to remove the plastic now.

I was thinking the transparent tape might be anti-shatter protection since it wasn't mentioned but I removed it anyways.

Thanks. You only have three fixtures for the entire barn?

Yes, one in the middle and the others spaced evenly between the middle fixture and the ends.
