Changes the pH of your soil; especially helpful if you have acidic soil.
Easy, I have the 300# model -- they really look close in size -- anyway, I'm interested how it handled 600# plus the spreader weight hanging out back with only the loader on. Here's my spreader:

JDFANATIC, I didn't notice any problems with the weight distribution, the picture I took shows the spreader all the way down, I did that cause I was spraying it off and at the raised position it looked fine to me from a PTO shaft concern. I was gonna buy the 350# model when I got to the store but they only had one dented one and it did not come with the agitator inside. I needed the agitator and for only $20.00 more I got it in a 600# unit. I only put around 400#'s in the unit at one time anyway.

The granules or pellets -- I would think the powder would not only make a mess, but clog up the hopper.
