New attachments needed

Things seem a little slow on the Power Trac section so I thought I would ask a question to get things going.

What new attachment that Power Trac does not make would you like for your PT? Who knows maybe they will see this thread and build it.

How about one of those hydraulic shakers that could be used to put in sprinkler pipe, telephone or cable, or just loosen up the soil. I have one of those shaker boxes on one of my trenchers and it probably could easily be converted.

How about a cement breaker, something like a post pounder but built heavy for breaking up cement .

How about a horizontal boring machine to bore holes under drive ways and roads.

How about a horizontal 24 inch saw blade driven by a hydraulic motor to cut trees.

This almost sounds like a Christmas list of wants and needs, but it would be nice.

Sounds good to me. Looks like there is at least some market for all of those attachments.

I'll second the 3PT. They had a 3PT (though I think it was quick plate instead of Cat1) on the 24 series, but discontinued it [I guess, due to lack of interest]. Mine had the factory hydraulics, and the previous owner bought CAT1 arms, but never got around to installing the cylinders - I haven't yet either.

If we can't have 3PT, how about giving us 24XX guys (yeah, I know we're the oddballs /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif, so probably not enough demand) some dedicated rear tools so we can play with them and a bucket or other frount mount toys at the same time:
Trencher (thus mounted traditional ditchwitch style)
Post Driver
Stump Cutter (though BH mount might be the better option here).

Of course, all those would be so much better yet if it was BiDirectional (a couple of these ideas I proposed building myself in other threads, but haven't got around to trying yet). We can't let NH have all the fun! (see bidirectional thread in NH)

I don't know if there's much use for this idea has much interest, but a think a hydraulically operated soil packer would be neat. Espcially if you could use it mounted and/or free hand.

They've got that one. It is the post pounder with different foot. I think you can convert back and forth, but I haven't looked at my post pounder for that.

Believe me, spend five minutes with the front mounted one and you'll not ask for one behind you again. You can look at exactly where you place the foot, and make fine adjustments side to side and fore and aft without a crick in your neck.
