New Addition to the Family

Please join us in welcoming Ag-nes to our growing family. Delivery weight: 893 lbs. The plant manager is thrilled. She said "get me something that won't break" while I was replacing the head gasket in the second engine in the Craftsman. Ag-nes has a whopping 12HP and seems to pull twice as lively as the 21HP Craftsman. I have some misgivings about buying a 30 year old tractor, but Ag-nes just charmed us both. She's a 4WD model and the Plant Manager wants to use her to cut the lawn, till between garden rows, prep and seed cover crop and general wagon totin'.

Is that the model where the PTO turns in the wrong direction?

Rotation is clockwise. I had an "oh shee-oot (have to say that like Slim Pickens would say it)" moment towing the tractor home thinking about some posts about older tractors with opposite rotation PTOs. Everything Attachments lists a number of tillers for it, so I think clockwise is good.

Yes indeed - the present seat is not very comfortable. I'll be tracking down options to address this. I'd like to keep the original seat and find a replacement pad, if such a thing can be found (or made). I'm pretty good with the stitch-awl. Need to get the mower deck off & check the blades & spindles.

Nice. These old gal's run forever. I think it may be the B6000 that is backwards. I'd like a mower deck for my B6100 but I don't have the newer version loader that allows for it.
