This Summer we built a new home on our 86 acres. I knew we were going to need something for snow removal and I wanted to step up from the LA140 tractor. The LA140 proved to be too small especially on the hills we have. Before we built we were mowing about an acre with the LA140. Now with the new house we will be mowing an acre and a half.
Yesterday we stopped at the local JD dealer. He had a 2305 with a mower deck but no snow blower (600 hours). Once he added a snow blower (and all the other needed parts/labor) their price was $16,500.
Bought this unit off Craigslist. The guy bought it to maintain a vacation property. He ended up hiring someone to mow it and for snow removal so the tractor ended up sitting. Has just 25 hours on it and looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
Came with a 54" mowing deck, leaf/grass collection system, snow blower and ballast box for $14,000. I thought I did pretty good. I know some of the 2305's have had PTO issues but I don't plan on using the PTO.
