A couple of questions if I may... Cold start aid light no longer coming on when key is on. Does anyone know if it is thermostatically controlled as it still starts fine and it hasn't been very cold lately. The manual does not mention if it is or not. Also, it never really reads over about 150 degrees on the temp gauge when running. Manual claims normal operating temp is 180 degrees. Again no operating issues, just doesn't seem right. So far, a great tractor.

The bulb on the cold starting aid light may be burned out. That has happened on my 6000. It works fine, but light does not come on.

The temp gauge issue may relate to how hard you are running the tractor. The more you put it under load, the more likely you will see the more normal temp indications.

Tonight when I fed livestock, the light came on, go figure, probably a bad connection. I'll keep my eye on the engine temp. Thanks.

Havent had any issues out of my light, but far as the temp, the only time mine gets up around 180 is when i am using the brush hog, but just doing light work, it seems to take awhile to get it warm.

Thanks, did some loader work yesterday and noticed the temp starting to climb. Not worried about the light, seems to be ok now. What type of skid steer bale spear do you use and do you like it? I will need to get one this year.

I have an Ottawa adapter on my fel. When you remove the bucket, the spears pin directly to the adapter frame. Wish I had a pic but I don't right now.

Sorry for waiting so long to reply, I have the Armstrong forklift attachment, then i bought a spear and socket, and two spikes, and welded the sockets on, now i can either use forks or bale spear on one frame.
