Well, after 2 years and 90 hours, I bit the bullet and bought
a 410 FEL for my 2001 4100. Here are some pictures /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congrats on the new machine !! Now go out and get a toothbar !! Why you say? I have the same machine and could not imagine working without one. Of course you can remove it for the milder work requirements, but it enhances the digging capabilites and protects that new edge of your FEL.... very inexpensive with lots of rewards....

Happy FELing !!

Actually, I am going to pass on the toothbar....I was going to get one, but
I am having no problems digging into the soil in my yard. As a matter
of fact, I doing so much fine grading/back dragging, the toothbar would
be in my way. Owning a toothbar for your FEL is getting to be
like having to own a copy of Led Zeppelin IV in the 70s ;-)
If you don't own one, people say "what is the matter with you !?" :)

Not really. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Only you know what kind of work you intend to do. The toothbar is a tremendous advantage for digging in hard ground and several other jobs, but if you don't need to do those things, then it would certainly be a waste of money to buy one.

I was just getting ready to post a question concerning the FEL.
I have a 4110 with all the hydraulics, ready to go. How much can I expect to pay for the 410 FEL installed etc?

Since I'm based in NY and we usually just pay more for things,
Approx $2700 installed plus a $300 toothbar...includes the ballast box as well....I just did this in July...most likely you would pay less...I have a 4100 gear

Money well spent...you will answer your self doubts about the amount spent once you start using it...

Unfortunately for me I paid 2700 without the ballast box ;-0
We do not have much choice here in NH and considering the dealer
is 2 minutes from my door, I just bit the bullet.....but boy is this
loader powerful ! I have been ripping up asfault with it and it does
a great job ;-) I will probably end up with a toothbar eventually, but
for now, I am doing just fine without one.
