New 3E compact tractor...

Does anyone know when John Deere will be unveiling the new '3E' tractor that is drapped in a white sheet on their website?? Just watched the RFD special on Deere and while it was good, it left me wanting more.

Where on their website is the 3E? Just guessing here, but I would say that they are carrying over their new numbering system to the CUT lines. The Twenty series isn't even that old yet.

The 3E series will initially roll out with two models and will be VERY price competative...in fact they will be the most affordable compact in Deere's line-up...thats all I can say for now, stay tuned though!

A-HA! Its all making sense....Gamble77 said it would be VERY $$ Competitive...and by stripping down some luxuries like the quick loader mounting, operator station and such they will have accomplished exactly that. Its making more sense now I see the pic again...a "chinese knock off" of green paint as I originally suspected wouldnt have used the JD Loader QA "Shoes"....

I hate where the loader controls are...that position isn't comfortable for me anyway...

No, think about Deere's new numbering/lettering system:

D = 2wd basic tractor
E = 4wd basic tractor
M = premium tractors

So these new tractor won't replace the 20 series, they are entry level tractors

Oh, Ok, Yeah, I asked Deere when they will convert the 3x20 series over to the new numbering system and they indicated that, it would not happen for a long time - or sort of if at all?

Sooo....if Deere is coming out with a small say "subcompact entry level tractor"...do you think it will start to cut into their garden tractor line. Why spend $10000 on an x series garden tractor when you can get a small cat. 1 compact for around the same price that will actually do more work. Just my thoughts...

I wouldn't think it will hurt them...the people buying the Z-Series are looking for a premium mowing machine for nice, well kept lawns. They are not going to buy a stripped down utility tractor instead. I would bet the new 3 series won't even be available with a MMM.

Spoke with my dealer yesterday and he told me he was going out of town this weekend for John Deere. I asked if it was because of new product launch, he said in a round about way, yes. Would not say what products or where he was headed. He did say Deere doesn't like loose lips from their dealers before new product unveiling. Possible "3E" getting ready to come out???? Anyone else have any news....
