Welcome to the forum

Congratulations, it is great to get a new tractor! Enjoy it.

I am curious about the angle iron for the loader, what do you have planned?

What I do with the angle iron is weld across the top of the loader bucket. It beefs up the top edge so I dont worry about bending the bucket top. I sight I see all to often. Plus when I weld on the hooks it spreads the load over a wider area. And last I have a home built quick genny pole that I set the base in the bucket with and bolt the shaft to the angle iron.

Here are some pics of the new ride.

I bought my 770 used and the previous owner re-enforced the bucket the same way you are about to. The tractor is a '92 and the bucket is as square and straight as a lined football field.

I hate looking at a beat up bucket. Good idea.

Thats the same theory I have with a tooth bar located on the lip of the bucket....re-enforcement.

Just the other day my wife watched as I used my pallet forks to try to pry a stump outta the ground. She said the bucket was bowed quite a bit as I applied the pressure to the stump....but everything sprung back into shape again. (I dont think I'm gonna do too much of that again tho.)

I know there are many times.....when I have pried some pretty heavy rocks and such....that the tooth bar has provided the needed re-enforcement for the bucket.
