Air filter changes. How often?

Just wondering about how often you change the air filter. Also is the dealer the only option for the air cleaner. I am a long way from my dealer.

It has been my experience that it is best to stick with OEM filters. Welcome to TBN. You selected a great tractor.

I have seen this aksed but not answered. Who makes the filter for Mahindra? Just an import cheapie? I don't know I'm just wondering. I would use them but WIX seems to be the best there is. I would hate to think I was paying more for less of a filter.

Howdy, I just got a new 2816 myself, 10 hard hours of work she's given. Nice to have others to compare notes with. I recently removed and inspected my air filter as my first day of box blading was dusty. It comes out easily when you unclasp the side panel. Wish I had carried compressed air with me. See pic.

I tried a Wix hyd filter for my 2615 and the Wix filter was smaller. I would guess that the 2615 and 2816 use the same filters. OEM was not much more $.

My thought on the size. It don't matter. I think Wix would not put a product out that was incorrect. They have tested it. Per there web page this isn't a cross reference that fits something else. It lists all the mahindra tractors.

I wouldnt change that air filter so soon. I just take mine out bump it off or spray it with air and put it back in. Mine still looks almost new @ 110 hours. Doesnt the manual say replace every 250 hrs?

How do you like the tractor so far. Mine has really been a great machine. No regrets so far, no problems other than the oil pan leaked some. I gave all the bolts a round and its looks as if its fixed.
