New 2638

I find this seat is a much nicer seat than last years. Only problem was they didn't compensate for the size of it. Takes up more space. So i am extending the three point lift leaver on mine. The handle is up against the side of the seat. Did the rep tell you what they are going to do to correct it.

I am curious as to the real world price difference between this model and the 2538. I am actively searching right now and am not limiting my search to local, so was just curious as to prices everyone was getting on theirs.

Price can vary month to month due to programs. I can tell ya this. When you are ready to purchase wait until a farm show. Go see your dealer there. Mahindra should have a rep there. Work on a deal but be a little bit away from signing. Mahindra will kick in some money.

The price was a few hundred more for the 2638. Not a big difference at all.

Diff seat. Loader controls moved back to the fender. That is about it I think

Sounds like it's closer the 1538. The 1538 has the loader control back on the right side fender and a better seat than the 2538.

The tractor is very similar to the 2538. The grill has been redesigned also. The 2638 is replacing the 2538. Same engine and lift capacity as the 2538. The 1538 is made by Mitsubishi and the 2638 is made by TYM. Same engines. The 1538 will soon be redesigned and renamed 1638. Don't know when that will be out. I have 40hrs on my 2638 and love it so far. No issues at all.

Instead of making piddling improvements on existing models I wish they'd redirect that effort into improving documentation and after sales support. They might even realize more sales for the money spent.

Dick, are you having issues with support/warranty?

Totally agree with you about documentation. Can't understand how an international corporation can put out poorly written marketing or support documents.
