Tractor
2007 JD 2520
Hey guys - pulled the trigger today on my first tractor. Thanks for all of your help on the forum! I especially want to thank Chris2520 for his great ideas with lighting and HD bucket with toothbar on his 2520 - I took those pictures to my dealer Chris and told him that was what I wanted including the light switch.

What I ordered - A brand new JD 2520 with R4 loaded tires / tire chains, block heater, front/rear work lights and brush guards with high capacity alternator - 200CX loader with 61" HD bucket with toothbar and ballast box / iMatch, Frontier RC1048 Rotary Cutter with slip clutch and safety chains and a Frontier LR 1072 Landscape Rake. Now the wait begins - should be ready mid June - will get the photos up when it comes in. I can't wait! Cheers, Brad

Hey Chris:
Cool - I am glad you are so happy with yours -it makes me that much more excited to get mine! I have a lot of trees down at this time and a ton of landscaping projects to work on - have been borrowing a neighbors 855 which is a great tractor but hate to borrow other peoples stuff. Thanks again for taking the time to contribute your thoughts to the forum - this site is the best.

Brad

Way to go Brad! Your gonna be happy with the new girl. When you get around to thinking about pushin snow around, drop me a note, I fab'd a Meyers plow set-up for my 2520 that works great and costs far less than what JD provides...you gotta post pics!

Well , lets see. first i moved all my shop equipment from my bacement to my garage. you saw my brute strenth picture of the pipe bender..;) then last week i landscaped a friend of mines yard. I was pretending to be Duc...:D
and now that i got it cleaned back up . I am going to move those dag lights from the brush gaurd. and put them under the roll bar up high so thay dont blind me anymore...:( when i turn my head i cant see anything.
And that about it for the moment. there is many things that need doing..:)

And Gordnovo is useing his new 2520 to try to see if he can dig
his way to china. and he is doing a good job so far...:)

I notice the 2520 is very, very popular on this board and others - a good thing and I find its funny that I see continual comments from the orange team, that Kubota is the number one selling mfg of compacts. Ok then Somebody somewhere is gaining market share - :D

I agree - I have been looking at tractors for a long time. NH and Kubota have nice tractors in the low to mid 20hp range which was a big gap for Deere. The 2210 was too small for me and the when the new 3000 series came out I tried a 3120 on my property but it was too big for my needs. I think they have done a nice job with the 2320 and 2520 as far as filling that gap. I would be interested to see how what the sale figures are for those models - and how that impacts the other brands.
