2516 Mahindra w/backhoe
Hi everyone,

We recieved our new 2516 yesterday with loader, backhoe w/thumb, snowblower, and pallet forks. We love the machine. The power will take a lot to get use too. Not to mention running it at a lower rpm.

Here are some pics.

Congratulations! Would you mind posting a picture of the mechanical thumb on the back hoe? Thanks, and enjoy your new tool. Just be sure to devour your operators manual.

Thanks Guys,

My work schedule is keeping me from playing this weekend. I will take pics of the thumb on monday. We have been reading the manuals as much as possible. There is a lot to learn. LOL

Unfrotanately, the wife said it needs to come out of the garage. I do have permission to build a large shed on the property.

I just noticed you bought a set of pallet forks. That was a very good investment. I use my forks so often, the bucket is seldom on the loader. Everything I once moved by loading in and out of a truck bed or trailer; is now placed on pallets for easy relocation in my storage area. I use the pallets for firewood, cinder block, lumber, and various landscape materials.

I got a set of the clamp on pallet forks. So far, I love them. They are very handy to have around. I was moving the brush pile around the other day. It made it so easy. I wish I bought a set a long time ago.

I also forgot to add that we bought from Stonehams Equipment in Waynsboro, PA. Excellent people to deal with. They are a little new at dealing with the Mahindra brand, but there was not a question they could not awnser. They worked hard to make the deal work.

I did not take pics of the thumb yet. It is made by steel tech and I would not recomend it. I would stick with wallenstein or another major brand. They did not give any instructions; except one diagram. I am in the middle of having my neighbor make some changes to it since he works at a machine shop.

Charlie, thanks for the info. My dealer sells the Rankin. He told me be sure to find a welder with good skills. Otherwise, the thumb won't work properly.

Nice piece of tractor !!!!!
My little 2510 had loader and scraper box in back..but I would have loved b.hoe! I ended up buying a little harbor freight b.hoe and I toe it around the yard with the hitch I mounted onto my gannon. The neighbors just smile and wave as they go by, as I have a lot of fun using this equipment that I really could just rent.
But where would be the fun in that?

Is that a front mount snow blower? How much was that if it is? I am hoping to get one when they come out for my Max 22

I will dig out the slips and let you know. It is a rear mount snowblower.

The snowblower is from Mahindra and was 2500. Two things I would do different is go with an off brand blower even though this one is built strong, and go with a Woods back hoe and thumb.

I thought you bought a front mounted blower. That sis what I will be getting for my Max 22. Anyone know what list price is by any chance?
