New machine was delivered yesterday. The ride control is awesome, clean air conditioned cab is great.

You towed that machine with a toyota tundra? WTF? That's got to weight over 10k right? It's a nice machine though good luck with it.

Cool machine! The place I get my mulch uses one similar. You should have a blast with it!

I put about 6 hours on the new machine today, works fantastic. No I did not tow it with the Tundra, just had it hooked up to my trailer to stabilize it for load testing. I do pull that trailer hauling my Power-trac 1445 at about 7,500 gross though. I am still looking for a truck to haul the 244J on that trailer. Probably only need to move it 6 to 8 times a year so I don't want to spend a lot of money but the truck will need to pull the load and haul the bucket, flail mower and forks on a flat bed.
Regards
Paul

That trailer's not going to hold up too long having 11500 on a 12k trailer. Even if it was just for testing. What are you using the loader for?

Matt, I am using the loader for construction, landscaping and general utility work, snow plowing mowing with flail mower etc. The trailer is rated for 14,000k gross 12k axles 2k on the pintle, without the bucket it should be right at gross weight.

and how much does the trailer weigh????
that counts against the gross.

Trailer weighs 3,300, loader weighs 10,640 without operator or anything on the front end. That is probably a little low on the loader weight, I have added a few options, going to have to put it on scales. And then there is tie downs.

How does the flail work on the loader? I was going to sub a buddy with a volvo mini loader but it seemed hard to use with out a hydrostatic trans.

Deere claims the loader weights 11500lbs+. So between the tractor and trailer your about 15k give or take. I was wondering about the flail mower also can you share the details?

That is the listed operating weight (11,552) with 1yard bucket, full fuel and 175lb operator. The 1yard bucket weighs 736. I don't have a flail mower yet, was going to rent one to experiment with first. The accelerator is really easy to hold the engine rpm where you want and the inching pedal makes it easy to adjust speed. I would think the Volvo would be even easier if you had their hand throttle control and hand adjustable inching valve. However the Volvo's foot inching pedal was a lot harder to push and maintain a slower speed with higher throttle settings.

This is the universal skid steer QA adapter I am going to use for some of my attachments including the flail mower. Deer calls it there Worksite pro.

I have been reading your (old) thread from 2008 about your 244j loader. As I am thinking about getting one I am wondering how you feel about yours after four years if you still have it?

Would love any comments you have as well as any new pictures.

Thanks
karlg
