New 2305 for me

Just a quick update.... My new 2305 was delivered a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't be happier! FEL, 62C MMM, ballast box and iMatch hitch

The savings in time cutting grass alone has made it worth while and the quality of the cut is superb. With my old JD317 it took me about 5 hrs to cut the lawn (3 acres, all grass) With the 2305 I was able to shave that down to about 1 hr 20 min And that wasn't pushing it! (I still can't quite wrap my head around the time savings, but it IS there) In my case, the cruise-control is a great option.

I REALLY like the FEL as well. I took down a good size birch tree that ice storms had done a number on this past winter. I used the FEL to rip out the stump/roots and fill hole, back bladed it nice and smooth in no time at all. Carted the cut up lengths off to the woodpile in the bucket......

So far, I'm extremely happy with my choice and thanks again to the forum for your input. My only suggestion to Deere, at this point, would be to include a folding ROPS on this model, it would be a very nice feature and worth the few extra bucks they'd probably charge for it.

You're going to love it for your needs. And it's a mowing monster. I have a 3720 Cab (Used to have a 3320) with a 72"MM and a 2305 (62"MM) (different properties). And I'll tell you that I think the 2305 would at least match the 3720 in mowing speed. I can mow at about 9mph on the 2305 (Flat lot), but would be slamming my head against the inside of the cab from bouncing if I try to mow at much above 6.5mph on the 3720.

Now, if I get a 110 RFM or something big that'' change the story...

I now mow about 2 acres with the 2305, I used to mow about 5 acres in maybe 1.5hrs (for a fast mow).

Your going to love it......

It's also (of all three, the 3320, 3720, and the 2305) the most stable feeling machine on slopes by far (Due to it's height).
