The savings in time cutting grass alone has made it worth while and the quality of the cut is superb. With my old JD317 it took me about 5 hrs to cut the lawn (3 acres, all grass) With the 2305 I was able to shave that down to about 1 hr 20 minAnd that wasn't pushing it! (I still can't quite wrap my head around the time savings, but it IS there) In my case, the cruise-control is a great option.
I REALLY like the FEL as well. I took down a good size birch tree that ice storms had done a number on this past winter. I used the FEL to rip out the stump/roots and fill hole, back bladed it nice and smooth in no time at all. Carted the cut up lengths off to the woodpile in the bucket......
So far, I'm extremely happy with my choice and thanks again to the forum for your input. My only suggestion to Deere, at this point, would be to include a folding ROPS on this model, it would be a very nice feature and worth the few extra bucks they'd probably charge for it.
Thanks again, I'll try to post some photos soon!
JD,
What are you going to do with all that extra time!
