Thanks for the update. Any new pics of the projects that you have been doing? Any particular reason that you chose the 8" bucket? Has the non-folding ROPS become a hinderance as of yet?

Archerynut,
The non-folding ROPS has not been a issue. Im a pretty tall guy (6'2"), so my head is "close" to the top of the ROPS. I just stick a chainsaw in the bucket when I start off thru the woods. It fits in my garage (83" high at the door). I think the people on here make a big deal out of nothing with the folding ROPS. I would rather cut down a few limbs than mess around folding and unfolding that thing every time I went in the woods. (on a side note, my property is 70% old growth hardwoods)

I chose the 8" bucket because I will mostly be using it for small sump removal and some trench work. Any big projects, I will just use the FEL for. We have "mostly" sandy loam here so as long as its not the dry part of august, I am fairly confident that the FEL will dig anything I need.
I will try and get some pictures this weekend of projects, and the hoe on the tractor.

Hey 2520tlh, I like that BH and have been trying to see one for myself with no luck here. I have the exact same unit except mine has a box blade on the rear. I would assume that BH would be something you would want to leave on there rather than taking it off and on? What was the price of that BH installed? Yours is a sharp looking unit, keep us posted:)

As a future JD owner (JD 2305 /JD 2320) I was wondering if the 260 BH was eay to take off and put back on. How does it compare to a 2320 and 46 BH as far as time and dificulty?

EasyE,
I leave it on as I currently have no 3 pt attachments or mower. My package was $12100 for 2305 and FEL, 4400 for the BH.
I have yet to take the BH off but it looks simple. Just put the bucket on the ground, use the stabilizers to get the weight of the BH off a couple pins, pull the pins, raise the stabilizers a little more to get the BH off the subframe hooks, relieve the hydro pressure and drive away. I will try to take some pics this weekend. Its just been hectic around my house the last couple weeks.

Wanabgreen,
I didnt look at the 2320 and 46BH when I was searching for a tractor so i dont know how it compares. I have described the process of removing the BH above. Hope this helps.
