<font color="green">Looking good! Welcome to the 2210 club. Looks like it will make short work of all the snow you receive.

Congrats, I remember when mine was that shiny. I hope you like yours as well as I like mine. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Looks great, and hope you get the snow that you are wishing for. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif That should be fun. Put the snow mobile helmet on for face protection against the wind and blowing snow. Works great.

Just thinking about getting one of these with a snowblower, especially after the foot of snow that fell yesterday.
How does the snowblower get its power?

bebster,

See the driveshaft in rlcowder's pic, that's how the tractor send's power from the transaxle to the front PTO.

rlcowder,

Welcome to the 2210 flock; I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I second the "welcome to the 2210 club"! You will enjoy it. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I notice you did not get a front end loader. You would not believe the projects that pop up when you get the FEL. Projects that never ever would have crossed your mind. I have it on more than the mowing deck. The old saying goes something like, I had spare time until I got a tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif It is adictive!

Someday I hope to get the Snow Blower but here in VT, this year, there would be no use. Snow, what is that? I have hardly had any to plow this year. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Good looking rig. You'll love the blower. If, as Anthony eluded to, we ever get snow in VT this winter I hope to get some use out of mine too (all rev'ed up and no snow to blow /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif ).

I'll second the suggestion for the FEL. Amazing how many uses can be found. However, your family might forget what you look like, when not in the seat!

You might want to consider some rear weight (wheel weights)to counter-balance the snowblower. This would help somewhat with rear-wheel traction.

I like the pictures on your Deere site! I'm looking at a 2210. What is the digging depth? Did you have a tooth bar on for that culvert?

DHennet, I advise strongly that you look at the 4010, too. I almost bought a 2210 but am glad that I bought the 4010.

A friend of mine gave me an old soil ripper. I'm quite sure that I couldn't use it on a 2210 because it would be almost impossible to lift it high enough to keep the front tines from digging into the dirt at every little depression on the way to and from the field.

While snow plowing with the FEL with a little down force, you lose some steering with the front wheels. The wheel brakes then need to be used to steer.

It gets awful tiresome running for long periods with the HST pedal pushed by foot. The cruise control on the 4010 isn't on the 2210.

The 18.5 hp (probably 19 with Mobil1 in the crankcase, as it gives 4% more hp and fuel economy) is PLENTY of power. I knew this from my experience with my 12 hp Gravely. It'll mow with a 50" mower and will pull a cart with 1,000 lbs in it (on level or going downhill).

Come over to Piedmont Equipment and give one a try. I got prices from them and James River: same. Piedmont doesn't require me to go over that foggy mountain.

I'd only buy the 2210 if you have A LOT of VERY TALL grass to mow. The MMM adjustment is the main thing that's superior on the 2210. The 4010 with LX4 will go through 4' tall wing stem which grows in a thick bed of 2' tall fescue without breathing hard. I knew it would because the 12 hp Gravely with 30" hog on it will, too. The 2210 is a mowing machine that kinda subs on the other tasks. The 4010 is a heavy duty tractor that'll do MM mowing.

The 4010 will also set you back about $2500 more (tractor/mmm/fel), and each additional attachment too. Not knocking the 4xxx series, they certainly wonderful machines, but when I decided on the 2210, if I had gone bigger, the 4115 would have been my choice (I kind of thought that was comparable to my old 755, but for the size reasons that caused me to give it up, the 2210 was right for me). I say think carefully about what you are going to use your tractor for, and then test drive the different options--preferably on your own property. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

No, the 4010 was $300 less than a 2210 from 2 different dealers. They're discounting it more than the 2210.

I guess that varies from dealer to dealer and region to region. My dealer just knocks 16% off of list across the board.

Congrats on you new 2210. I needed a tractor this size to be able to get into the stalls off of the barn and it works really great. They look smaller at the dealer sitting next to the bigger machines. I used the 2210 to pull start a Farmall M the other day. Trouble is, I taught my wife to drive the 2210 while I was on the Farmall. Now she wants to learn to use the hydraulics! Silly thing is so easy to drive it took only a few minutes to teach her. Not a good thing. The seat time in my future is looking bleaker as I write!

That's quite a blower! Hydraulic lift and chute rotator?? wow. We just had our annual snow storm (singular, we don't get snow here anymore) and I moved knee deep snow from in from of my garage in no time pushing north with my FEL then South with the 72" back blade. that all wheel drive and HDAP tires sure puts the power down. I had fun doing it too! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
yes, like the other guy said, wear a snowmobile helmet whilst blowing unless you want that smile to freeze to your face permanent.lol

DHennet is in central Va. Can't be too far from me. That's why I was advising him to go to Piedmont and James River. Piedmont is more than likely to give him the better price on a 4010 because they deal in smaller tractors than James River does. James River talked my neighbor into a 4310. He didn't know beans about tractors. Think a 4010 would have saved him about 5k$.

Wow! That's a sweet little machine. Kubota may have been first but and I sure like mine but that JD green is very appealing to me. Enjoy!
