Which is better for light duty clean up 2009 bush hog sq172 for $850 or a 2015 bush hog razorback bh6 for $1199 please let me what you guys think.

Yes the SQ172 is medium rated and the razorback is on there light duty rating. So I'm guessing go with the Medium duty even though its 5 yrs older?

Yes the SQ172 is heavier. 10ga deck vs 12ga, 65hp gearbox vs 60hp, rated to cut 2" diameter vs 1", and in general is 200# heavier.
That said, it all depends on its condition. If it is in good condition, probably worth getting it. But the New lighter duty one will be fine too if you are only doing light cutting of grass, weeds, etc. But if you plan on tangling with alot of saplings that can exceed 1" diameter, and alot of thick briars, you will want heavier
