We are moving to a new home and I envision having to spread a couple truck loads of topsoil, plus haul brush to a fire ring. Bought 5 1/4 acres in Madisonville TN.

I have a CC 2042 to hook it up to.

I gues I want one that dumps, to easily spread the dirt.

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the form. I am not sure where Madisonville is but I live near Knoxville.

I have not found a small cart that will spread out the dirt very well. Most will just dump most of the dirt in one pile and then make you shovel out the rest. Probably because when you tilt the trailer, the end of the box hits the ground and doesn't allow the box to tilt enough. Try to stay away from the plastic carts, they deform under a load.

As much as I am not a fan of wallyworld, they have a very nice heavy duty cart for about $159. This model has a one piece bottom, no bolt heads to get in the way of a shovel.

Many others available at Lowes, Tractor Supply, and HomeDepot.

Hope this helps, Alan.

Thanks Alan.

Great points about the plastic deforming and the bolt heads on the bottom that would complicate shoveling.

Madisonville is about 35 miles south of the Knoxville Airport down US 411.
