Needed used Bush Hog Gear Box

I have a 5' bush hog that I need a Gear Box for I can't find the serial # plate but I think it may be unavailable and expensive. I would like to know if anyone may be able to look at photos of the gear box and help me out with some options or know were I can find a reasonably priced box that might fit my bush hog.

Why not rebuild the one you have? Or did I miss something in your posting? Are the gears torn up or maybe just bad bearings? If it were just bearings those usually can be found.

go to bushhog web site and find the parts you need to fix the one you have. the attach photo looks like what you have, this came from their website, go to parts, then public, then, in the search box for models type FTH600, that should give you a list of parts on that model. i destroyed a 1970s 305 heavyduty bush hog last year and rebuilt it from this site.

We have a new a new aftermarket box with 1 9/16 dia. output shaft with 12 splines and 1 3/8 inch dia. smooth input shaft drilled for 1/2 inch shear bolt for $198 + shipping. Ken Sweet
