My BIL just flew into Afghanistan to work as a superintendent or something in the construction zones. He has only been there 2 days' to work for an American company. The word so far is the food in the cafeteria is the best he has ever seen and they have a great gym.

3 months on, 2 weeks off for 200K a year and all you have to worry about is taxes and gett'n killed!! same as here I guess.

A friend of mine is a mechanic for a construction company there and made about 190k one year turning wrenches. His wife is from Mexico and to skirt taxes had to stay there 3 months at her families spare house. He said that between the inlaws and the cartel wars Afganastan and Taxes looked good.

So far the word from him is, work, eat, sleep and no place to fish! I thought there might be some Sand bass in the desert? LOL

He is in a (cough) very secure area, say's there are 1,000's of American contractors in their little "city".

its only as bad as you make it, but the world gets real small when you live with 1k of your closest friends and work 7 days a week. better get those jobs now. before the money all dries up
