Planters Need used 3 Pt. 2 row corn planter for CUT in WNY

Hi all, I am looking for a good used 2 row corn planter that will fit on the 3 pt. of a CUT. My neighbor and hunting partner and I want to plant about 2-3 acres of feed corn as food plots. He has a JD 755 and I have a B2710, so it will have to be able to work with these size tractors. If anyone in the Rochester, NY area knows of one for sale please let me know ASAP. We have not found one near us as of yet. And we have the fields plowed, disked and ready for planting. Thanks, Von

Heck, if you lived a tad closer I would let you burrow either our 4 row or our friends 2 row. As for Rochester I will talk to my friend who works at a JD dealership out there and see what he can do. Roughly how much are you looking to spend? I see them at auctions quite often around here but with a 4 row I don't need a 2 row so I never pay attention to prices on them.

Robert, Thanks for looking! As to price, of course as little as possible! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I have heard that they can be had for as little as $200-$400 so that is what we are hoping to spend. We are only doing this to feed the wildlife, and to keep them in the area for hunting season! So we don't need one with a lot of bells and whisles, if there is one! Just so we don't have to plant it by hand. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Once again thanks!

I put a call into my friend but he hasn't got a chance to call me back yet. Worse comes to worse you can use a Vicon spreader or cone spreader or what ever other name people want to use for them to spread the corn. I know some people who have done that for wildlife plots. Then just drag something across the top afterwards like a chain or something similar. The field don't look as nice without the nice straight rows but it gets the corn in the ground for the wildlife. Hello Von--If you dont have any luck locally, we would be glad to help?--We have 2 JD, 1 Ford 1 Burch and a older Avery 2 row planter and I think we still have 3 or 4 of the 1 row planters--We are in Ky and shipping is usually about $88 on a 2 row to a business address. We have a 2 row JD and a JD #39 7ft sickle mower that went to Flanders, NJ today and the combined shipping was $139 on both shipped to the same address--Ken Sweet
