I replaced the seat safety switch in my L3400 HST and in the process broke a wire that connects to the female side of the plastic connector, i.e. a wire coming out of the harness. Of course the new switch is useless until I can reconnect the broken wire. Unfortunately the wire broke off flush with connector and there is not enough of a tail to work with. Added to the problem is the location of the tractor; not a good place to work on it. I need to move the tractor to a better spot in order to repair the broken wire. Any ideas on how to close the circuit in order to disable the engine cut out? Thanks guys!

After giving this situation some thought, the best course of action (and least expensive since a new wire harness might as well be made of gold) is to wire the switch directly into the harness and eliminate the plastic connectors. I can use those heat sensitive automobile wire splices. The downside is the connectors are gone for good but the upside is the safety switch remains functional.

If its a 2 wire switch all you have to do is jump the 2 wires together to make the circuit
