Always wondered why small tractor owners don't opt for the parabolic design of subsoiler tooth. It seems that is what all the "real" farmers use. Supposedly it takes less HP to pull.

One reason a lot of people don't opt for that type of middlebuster is the other type can be used to plow a ditch. I just used mine to add a ditch to the road going to my sister in laws house, and if I had one like on ebay, I would still be digging the dirt out of the hole. However, for the purpose you use it for, opening the ground up for the winter rains, the one on ebay would do fine, with less horsepower requirements, and probably do a better job, with it's 3 points of contact.
