Is it cost prohibitive to add rear hydraulic hookups to a L3410? I need to rent a grain drill this spring, and the drill requires the hydraulics to raise/lower the blades.

I'm not sure if it's even possible to add the hookups to the rear, but I sure hope so. Any advice?

Yea its possible, but its really expensive. List on the components, without installation is about $700.

Ouch! That's a tad pricey for me. I might just have to try to borrow a tractor that has rear hydro hookups already on it.

My dealer qouted $650 installed with the purchase of new L3130. I will most definitely get at least one when I buy. Delayed on purchase because of imperative "honey do" of repaint and new parquet floor.

Are the componets any cheaper for the second and third valves? Could I do them myself after the first?

I'm not sure if it's any cheaper for the 2nd or 3rd, but it should be. As far as the first one, you can do it yourself. I just installed one on my l3130, wasn't very difficult. Comes with pretty straightforward instructions. Good luck.

A bit cheaper, List about $450 each after the frist.

$250 for the valve and $200 for the hardware.

Neil,

Can the valves for the new 30 series be used on the old 10 series tractors? In the past I don't think they were stackable so you had to decide how many valves you wanted up front....if you wanted to add later you had to discard the ones you already purchased. The valves for the new 30 series are stackable I believe. Is this correct?
