We have a Cub Cadet Volunteer at the squirrel ranch and it gets ten to twelve hours of use/abuse each weekend. I have a 275 gallon water tote in the back of it and we put out about 2500 gallons of water on some new pecan trees and a 25 gallon sprayer mounted on the front rack that you have to peek around. I guess between my fat butt, 2500 pounds of water/mix, the tote and water piping, and all of the other junk in there it is carrying at least 3000 pounds without a lot of trouble, just don't try to corner fast. Does anyone make a heavy duty side by side that is rated higher than 2000 pounds of cargo with a decent sized box? Does anyone make a UTV with a PTO for driving a water pump? I am probably asking for too much from a side by side and should look at adding a second tractor instead but the side by sides are just so handy. Anyone have any good suggestions?

I'm thinking Kubota hydrostat or Toolcat for serious work.

Yup... Industrial Toys is spot on.

RTV is the heaviest built UTV on the market, but no PTO... So toolcat would be the only one to check both boxes.. but Toolcats are SUPER expensive.

Maybe I should have mentioned the Kioti Mechron )sp?) too. Hydro, Kubota copy.

Hafta research this a bit, for some reason I'm thinking Kubota offers a PTO.

Anyway, I think the Toolcat is the most versatile UTV made today. Versatility should be spelled $$$$$$$$$$$.

Are they not a copy? I have seen a few at my friends shop, in for repair, all rotted to heck from SALT.

The Toolcat is great but I can't forgive them for those dinky wheels. Plus, if you own other equipment, tractors, loaders, skidsteers, UTVs, and so forth, the Toolcat starts to make less sense in the overall scheme o things.

I think the Mechron uses a Reeves type infinitely variable transmission. I know that Kubota offers a hydraulic cooler and remotes package so I could homebrew a hydraulic PTO, plus the hydraulic dump bed would be really nice. That toolcat looks really sweet but I could buy a Kubota and a skid-loader for that price.

I owned a Kubota RTV1140 for 8 years and did some heavy gravel hauling with it. I recently bought a RTV500 for playing on my mountain or for my grands and wife and I to play with and traded the RTV1140 to a RTVX1140 since it has the two rows of seating which I mostly keep down to one row doubling the size of the bed and it rides like a car so usually evveryones first choice to take. I prefer diesel powered which the 1140 is and the 1140 is now a smooth civilized workhorse. It has 2" Reese hitch inlets on front and back and sure hydro pto is available to add to it since some implements are sold to work on it requiring pto power but not cheap. Kubotas are not fast. The 1140 does 26 mph flat out on flat road a bit more down hill and a lot less uphill. Since you already have the one you plan to keep maybe you can figure out the right job combination with the two machines and so not requiring so much from one machine.

Yeah the Toolcat is definitely commercial grade. They even have selectable 4 wheel steer. I watched one use a front mount snowblower and bed mounted sand/salt spreader clean sidewalks at Ft McCoy. I was amazed at how it could turn.
