Need Spark Arrestor info/pics.

Does the JD spark arrestor just clamp onto the existing exhaust pipe? I just bought a 2320, and although I don't live in an area that really needs a spark arrestor I am curious if it will cut down on the "spray" at start-up from the exhaust. I'm new to the diesel tractor, and I assume this is normal, but having the garage floor and the left rear of the yellow blower housing be spritzed with black oily spray on start-up is something I'd like to cut down on if possible (yes, I am OCD.) So my thinking is that the spark arrestor will contain the spray, anyone have one that can comment?

I was just browsing the build your own tractor on Deere's web site today and if you switch over to the accessories tab you can find a picture and instructions there. It says you just attach it with sheet metal screws.

Most spark arrestors are screens and would not provide any help to the unburnt fuel at start-up. It is normal for a diesel to blow some smoke at start-up due to the cylinder temperature. You would have to put an after treatment system on if you wanted to stop it. When mine works it will blow the black unburnt fuel then to. My Cummins will due the same thing, only it doesn't get on my truck, just the people that follow to close.
