I made a 4'x5' heavy duty pallet and use that. I use my forks and take it to the pile of cut rounds and put it on the ground next to them. I roll heavier rounds onto the pallet and ones I can lift easily I just lift them.
Then I took a saw horse and cut the legs off to the right height and set the pallet of rounds on top of the pallet right next to the ram. Cut the pallet so the top of the pallet is even with the top of the

I position the pallet about 2" from the beam. Then I just reach over and roll them onto the beam and split them. I use the same pallet to lay the opposite side of the split onto it until I get the close half of the round split.
I started doing this about 3 years ago and it works super. I never lift heavy rounds now because I can roll them up onto a pallet. That works for 30" and smaller.
Larger rounds I might stand the splitter up, maybe.
