I have a JD 5105 with a 553 loader and I really would like to get a grapple rake type bucket for it. I can get couple of used grapple assemblies that I get for a song (free maybe). I currently have a materials bucket, but think the grapple would work better for me with the open/rake style bottom.

Is there anyone that sells just the open rake style bucket that I could mount one of these grapples on?

attached pics of grapples (they need a little work)

Well you can't beat free, but I really like my Bradco root rake/brush grapple. All hoses and cylinders are protected and the back is solid to decrease the chances of debris poking a hole in the front of your tractor. The kubota dealer told me that once I used it, I would leave on 90% of the time and he was right. If it is on the tractor (which it is most of the time) and I need to feed, I use to grab round bales and then dig silage out of the pit. It is very versitile.
