They now make a low expansion "gaps and cracks" sprayfoam just for that purpose. That is what they used when they replaced our windows. 4 screws to hold it still and sprayfoam all around to lock it in place.

Yes, I knew that but being many miles from the lumber yard I used what I had.

Well, I'm delayed a bit. While playing around in this nice 60+ degree weather riding off road on my motor. I hit a patch of real slick silt and went down. It was a low speed thing, but I flew over the handle bars and "lawn darted" into said mud leading with my shoulder. I was wearing my armor, and I heard something pop so I had it xray-ed and nothing is broken, but I likely have torn a tendon in my ACC joint.

Then we got slammed with the worst flooding I have seen since I bought the place in 2001. 2" of water an mud the the Quonset shop/apt. 3-4' of water in my out sheds. 60% of my new high tensile fencing is down and it even pulled up the 6x8 driven poles up with it. Cows and horse escaped twice yesterday and had to be driven back from 3/4's of a mile away. My Swimming hole gazebo and deck spun around, and the deck is hanging off the concrete block retainer wall I put in a couple of years ago to protect it. Road culverts are washed out as are many bridge approaches. Another front is following this one inbound for Sunday with MORE rain.

Maybe we should move to Utah?:irked:

As of 2100 hrs the night before this WAS my neighbors driveway. 30" culvert to the right clogged with rock silt and debris, so the creek just changed course down their driveway. It cut a 3' deep trench in it 35' long:

Her driveway is now out in this pasture:

another neighbor's place:

My west pasture...see the corner post brace in center/right?

Oh and I am standing on the bridge in that pic, water was 18" over the bridge, approach guard rails were completely under water.

****, flood insurance or were you not in a designated flood area? Lot of work and money down the drain.

My house is not in a flood zone, but the shop/Quonset and pasture/fencing is.....not covered. The only damage is fencing, but yeah it's a lot of labor to repair.

L120...sorry to confuse you, we will return to our regularly scheduled program as soon as the technical difficulty's are handled..............
