Wise words jinman. As far as the local NH dealer is concerned, their first words were "it's not worth fixing. You would be much smarter trading it in and buying a new one. I'm sure I overpaid it's the nature of the newby. But I'm also sure if it still has value it must be worth fixing otherwise it would be worth nothing.
Their estimate to fix without seeing it was $3-4 K! That may be valid but I'd like to do it cheaper.
Oil and smoke are poring out the crankcase vent pipe and of course it has no power. It will start however.
