Box Scraper Need medium duty box blade..brands?

You want something sturdy enough so that if you hook the top of a boulder while spreading your gravel that you do not "reshape" the blade. It is inevitable that you will snag an immovable object at some time. Your blade needs to be strong enough to stop the tractor or max out the traction in such situations without self sacrificing.

Like everything there is a balance. For your occasional light use a light duty BB may work for years. Until...

I bought a Lowery BB and is pretty heavy duty for me. It cost about $495.

I just bought a 6' United Box Blade in Columbia, TN. I would highly recommend that you look at them before buying the other box. The United boxes have a clevis pin type of hitch vs. a straight pin type. It is much stronger. I paid $395 for a 6 footer. I got mine at Lynch Equipment Sales. Check them out at Lynch Equipment Sales. They have a huge yard full of implements. I spent a few hours there just wondering around. Nice people as well.

That Lowery blade looks really nice. I have never seen one of those before. That also has the clevis type of hitch arrangement.
