Need insurance recommendations.

I am in Virginia. I have an inland marine policy on my tractor, thru the agent who handles my house, cars and a life policy. Also an umbrella policy. But when I called to get another inland marine policy for my excavator, I was told that they won't cover it, because I am going to be using it for agriculture. And they said they won't cover anything related something edible. So I need insurance for my excavator...and maybe a new policy for my tractor. I will definitely need one for my Orchard, and Cidery, and I might need a new liability policy for my land and all the activities I will be doing there. Has anyone else run into this?

You mention orchard and ciderery. So you have a small business. Yes you need at the least a GL, general liability policy. If you have any buildings and equipment you wish to insure your best bet is a BOP, business owners policy which is a package policy offering business personal property, building and liability in one policy. You should be able to add your tractor and excavator to said policy.
