Need hydraulic oil for a Homelite Electric log splitter (Model#Ut-49103)

These are low tech systems much simpler than equipment so it probably would work, but why wouldn’t you use hydraulic oil? Which is cheaper anyway.

I'm just throwing it out there as an option.

I bought a cheapo electric splitter, at a time before I had come to the hydraulic fluid replacement hours on the tractor. Short story is that it was cheaper to go into town for a 1 litre container of transmission fluid.
