I just bought some really good light s to hang on the top of my Rops. I know the tractor has the wires behind the seat for extra lights on the 2520. Can anyone direct me in which wires are which? The light packages I both have relays with them also.

I just did add lights on my 2320. The wires you need are not connected to anything (there will be 4 of them, 1 power and 1 ground together X2)and will be tucked away behind the plastic and the 3PH upper link. the factory wiring is long enough to reach to the base of the ROPS.
I wired mine with relays also so the factory wiring is just powering the control side of the relay and ran a new wire to the front to power the lights.
I also added a switch(between the factory harness and the relay) so I could use the factory light switch as the master and also be able to select which lights I want (Hood, ROPS fwd facing and/or ROPS aft facing).

I do want to wire mine separate from each other, 2 lights forward and 2 lights backwards. Still trying to figure out were to mount the switches? Was thinking about putting them on the little plastic panel right under the seat.... Do you still need to run the relay using the factory harness?

I am not sure the rating on these wires, I am sure it is easy to find out though... But unless your lights have a draw higher then these are rated for there is no need to rub a new main wire and a relay. John Deere did put these here for running their optional lights so they should be sized properly. I will find out later in the week when I go to install the lights I bought this morning.

In the hopes this will give you some other ideas, here's where I put mine. The location has worked well and I've never hit them by accident with my left leg or when getting on or off.

Both switches are DPDT with center off. One gives me high and low power of the LED warning lights when I plow snow or transport on the road. (The LEDs are far too bright on the high setting for use at night and are blinding.) The other turns on the front upper ROPS light when bucket loading, and the front and rear when plowing. Both of these are also extremely bright LED fixtures.

FWIW, I initially wanted to use JD's rear lighting wiring that's being discussed. But it only operated in certain switch modes, so I wired and fused separate circuits the way I wanted.

I wired mine the way I did because I bought a set of 55w driving/fog lights and wasn't sure if the factory wiring was heavy enough. The wire I ran fron the front is 12ga and I am sure big enough for at least 4 of the 55w bulbs plus room to expand at a later date. I also wanted one switch to shut them all off vs 3 switches. I am going to retrofit LEDs into the lights eventually but like I said I want room for further expansion. right now I have the light switch that came with the lights attached to the plastic panel on the left fender but I do plan on mounting a switch or 2 from some other JD product into the same panel.

cttractor - I am in the process of purchasing rear work light and would like to know more about what you ended up purchasing and any pro's or con's of the LED's you have. Also did you purchase them from JD or other source? If online, where? Lot's of questions but appreciate any information.

Gary, a good LED light works very well, but it's got to be a good one. There are cheaper alternatives out there, but they're just not bright enough. One of my favorites is this:

SoundOff Signal EWLC1400TBDF0W 5" Rectangular LED 1400 Lumen Flood Light

It's $120.00 from Amazon, but it's really bright, yet uses only 3 amps. You only need one for the front and one for the back. I'm also about to investigate some cheaper lamps from another manufacturer, but haven't yet had the opportunity. All LED lighting is getting brighter, better, and cheaper, but I wasn't going to wait three or four years for that to happen.

I hope this helps, Jerry
