Okay, so the dealership is no help, I want to reach out to this community... I am fairly mechanically inclined, but this is my first tractor... BX2230 and I'm having a problem putting the quick hitch on the bumper, I can get it on but it doesn't sit flush and risks moving and that risks the driveshaft for the front mount implements (trust me I know, I had one slip, hit the ground and twist like a limp noodle and stall the machine -- cost me $300 for a new shaft)... The manual says if the quick hitch doesn't sit on the bumper flush, make sure the T bolt isn't in the way, well.. it isn't, but I still can't get it to sit flush... I need help!!! I'm uploading photos to show that it is sitting on there, but there is about 1/4" gap at the bottom... The quick hitch doesn't move when the snowblower hits the ground, but $300+ a wack for PTO shafts, I'm a bit hesistant... Any suggestions? Anybody had this problem with a BX?

I'm kinda befuddled. Yours looks radically different from mine. Wow!! I'll try and take some pix of mine. Head scratcher. Wondering if Kubota modified this since the 30 series?
Wish I could help more.

OK, take a look at mine. One is an "overhead shot". See if this helps at all.

Thank you for the quick reply --- you are right, significantly different. I'm hoping that now that I torqued the heck out of the T bolt that holds it in place that I'll be okay... Its just very frustrating and nerve racking that the PTO shaft could slip at any time - and trust me, that thing at 2-3k RPMs hitting the ground makes the tractor jump and stall is quite alarming

Is this a new machine? Why is the dealer no help? If this was recently purchased and is under warranty then they need to help you-go up the food chain and make some noise.

Is it remotely possible that you don't have it aligned or positioned correctly?

Something just doesn't look right. Mine, as you can see, fits squarely on the front frame. Yours does not. That cannot be right? Yours may be an older model, but it seems highly unlikely, given the shock the QH must take, that it would be designed NOT to sit flush on the front frame.

I agree it is not on correctly, but the mower mounts dictate where the quick hitch can go, and its a very tight tolerance... So I'm fairly confident that the quick hitch is centered but when I push down on the nose of it to make it flush with the bumper, the front axle appears to be in the way, hence the gap

Here is a long shot...Mind you I have no clue how Kubota does the driveshaft's but:

On the JD's, you have to pull back a collar on the female side of the coupler that connects to the Mid-PTO stub sticking out of the transmission. That allows the coupler to slide further onto the stub to engage the locking balls into the groove on the stub shaft.

Is it possible you are not doing this and the driveshaft is effectively to long?
