Allmand 25k tractor loader backhoe, Bradco 408. Bobcat mt100
I have questions regarding a loader control valve replacement on my allmand tlb 25k. The parts manual only states an Eaton 2 spool valve and no specifics. My current valve has a bad leak going on and I would like to upgrade to a new valve with as little modifications to the tractor as possible. I’m also unsure if the replacement valve should be open or closed center. I have a general understanding of hydraulics but just don’t want to end up ordering the wrong part. Any help is much appreciated!! Attached is a hydraulic diagram of the tractor as well as my current valve. Tractor specs are 10.5gpm 2500psi relief on loader valve

Your diagram shows a power beyond line from the loader valve. This means you have open center hydraulics.
Some valves are only for open or closed center hydraulics, some you buy a closed center plug/sleeve for closed center (which you do not have) or a power beyond plug/sleeve for open center (which is what you have) Same valve different plug/sleeve.
A 10gpm rated valve would be fine for 10.5gpm system.
Many valves will have relief valve you can adjust the pressure.
I can not recommend a bolt in replacement. You might find drawings showing mount hole layout and port (hoses connect to) locations and thread size and type.

Thank you for clarifying! I ended up ordering a prince lvt and will order the power beyond adaptor to switch it over, I will have to do some modifying to get the joystick handle operating correctly I’m thinking... my manual states the tractor has a variable displacement pump, I have not been able to verify whether the pump i currently have in the tractor is original or not but would that make any difference as far as the plumbing of the valve?

Did you consider having your valve rebuilt? That would avoid the hassle and cost of making adapter plates, hydraulic fittings and maybe new hoses depending on the layout. You never mentioned the nature of the leak or how you determined the valve was the problem. Photo #4 looks like the casting is broken, exposing the threads. Is that where the leak is?

Yeah I had purchased the tractor 2 years ago with it being just a drip out of the blown out casting in picture 4, I haven’t gone as far as taking the whole valve out to clean it and get numbers off of it because where the damage is I figure a total replacement is the only option... I can not believe the valve has stayed fully operational this whole time with just a dribble of oil here and there. I’m not sure if the previous owner had cracked the valve when replacing the engine in the tractor or if it was from overpressuring the valve from attaching a plow or something like that. The previous owner is a young local landscaper with little to no experience around equipment so I’ve spent some time getting the whole tractor backhoe back to operational condition with a lot of quick easy fixes with the valve hopefully being the last for a while. The two hydraulic shops I use both said finding a section for the valve would end up being as expensive as a whole new replacement. Not that I want to throw money at something that might not be needed but for piece of mind and longevity I figured a couple hundred on a new valve wasn’t the end of the world as the tractor has already paid for itself twice over. The whole tractor is sheet metal so I figure worse case I bend up a new panel/bracket to make a home for the new valve location

Sounds like you've researched all the options. Good luck with the replacement.

Thanks! I really hope it works out well, I love this tractors durability and robust nature compared to the newer options out there... just need to stop dripping oil on the lawn!

Yes I completed the install of the prince lvt valve! I thought of this post the other day when I had a few pieces of the tractor off and was touching up a few things and realized I never took any pictures or documented the progress. I feel really bad about letting it slip through the cracks as this community has helped me so much on educating/researching different topics. Last summer when I originally switched the valve out I was in a rush and had a job where the tractor was needed so I really just wanted to get the new valve installed to make sure it would work for my situation. A few shortcuts were taken at that time just to get things functional but I have since revisited and corrected. I hope to get some pictures and a few more posts describing the process in case someone else out there views the thread. As for the valve itself it is fairly smooth and just as good as the original if not better! For the price I would find it hard to beat!
