Hi All,

I'm now the owner of a 2004 DK 35 and I'm trying to change the oil, but find the owner's manual pretty lame when pointing out the oil filler cap location. The book points to an area adjacent to the dipstick, but the only thing I can find in that area appears to be a power steering pump (with a filler cap). I have found a threaded steel cap on top of the engine which appears to be the oil filler, although it's in a pretty awkward place to reach. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

I have always used the threaded cap on top of the engine to fill with oil (long funnel with hose).
You can also fill by pulling the rubber plug under the alternator (just in front of the dip stick)
Holds around 6 quarts.

Thanks Vince - - you confirmed what I thought to be true. I feel much better dumping oil down that hole now.

Thanks, KiotiDave. Actually on this one neither are painted orange, although a number of other fill points (axles and hydraulics) are. Get this though .... after reading Vince's reply, I proceeded to pull the top cap, and imagine how dumb I felt when I read the word "oil" stamped in the top. Wish it had been readable while it was still screwed in place....
