Yes, of course. What I had in mind was a small trailer that can double as a means to carry dirt, gravel, etc. and the occasional grandchild. I wasn't going to have them actually on the tractor when it was moving. You are very correct about safety being of the utmost importance. Even when I am on the thing going up and down those slopes..... Anyway, I have decided on the Kubota. Most of the others would probably have been fine also. Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the input. )</font> I see you have decided, but if you haven't bought yet, you may want to consider a Ventrac like Bob_Skurka did. Especially with the slopes. Here's a link to his post on the Ventrac 3000. Ventrac Sounds like it might be just the ticket for our place. I have a Kioti CK20, but no slopes to speak of. John
I bought BX23 recently for 14,300. Searched many dealers and products. Was prepared to drive 4 hours for best deal until I checked one of the last dealers in my area who BLEW every other out of the water.
Looked at this site and got alot of good info when shopping but saw alot of postings that were WRONG. I spent many hours on rented CASE 580 (full size) backhoe building my home 2 years ago. The BX23 I own is a fine machine for it's size (very impressed). As with any machine it takes some practice.
Talked to my dealer who handles many manufactures about other machines and in particularly the MF. He only would say Kubota hands down. I've got 20 hours on mine now and its in the 2nd week I have found: Backhoe - very very good, Tractor - very good plenty of power, Loader is fine, As expected but not as capable as the full size case I used (in relation to the two. I can't understand what expectations some of these people had who's postings I read while I was in the buying stage who gave poor reviews, I wonder if they even had the machine.
I felt I need to give my opinion for many of the good postings and comments I read while shopping. It's an expensive machine (toy) but I still feel it was worth it and now my wife does too.........
