Need help with Building QH Bracket for snow plow on 3320

I got 7 1/2 foot western plow for my 3320 I working on my mount for the 300CX FEL. I need anybody that lives in central Illinois to come by my shop and help me fab up a bracket, I don't even know where to begin!!!!!

Today I just ordered the brackets from Deere Dealer, they will be in on Wed.

I need to know what kind of metal , and even what size!!!!


Can Anyone help??

I got some people telling me to mount it to the frame, some tell me to mount it on the loader, heck I am confused on what I am going to do!!!

Please Anybody!!!!

I am not a fan of loader mounted blades, but hopefully these pictures will help you with a design. They are both mine...But the blade is long gone. I used 2"x3" box for the frame.

I hung the "hooks" on the loader, measured a crossed them and cut the top piece-then tacked it on...then measured the side and tacked them on...I basically built the whole frame right on the loader to avoid measuring mistakes.

There are LOTS of plows on this site to look at and copy if you search, most are better that mine for sure! I was just helping with the ideas for the FEL QA frame.

I just got done going through what you are going through. Luckily I can weld and fabricate so that put me at a advantage, I gather you can not weld. Its still possible though. What some have done is made a mount templet out of plywood and then taken it to a welding shop and have it fabed up.

Here is a link to my plow rebuild. It will give you a lot of good ideas. I did not have a quick attach but the idea is the same. Tons of pictures.

Thanks Diamond, I can weld not as good as most people though. I just am ready to pull my hair out! I really need an extra hand with this dang thing, and get more input, you know what they say " two heads are better than one"

If you don't have a pile of scrap or new iron laying around i would get some 3x3 or 4x4 angle iron 1/4 to 3/8 thick. Or use some thing like that, i used 1x3 3/16 wall tubing for my set up because i had it laying around.
Did you get the truck side brackets? if so there is a good start on the metal you need.
I like to swing by but its deer season next weekend. I'll give you a call tomorow to give you some more ideas.

Brandon, I would love to help you out but I have way too many irons in the fire at home and a shut down starting at work. I would take pictures from the links below and take them to Charlie Graham at Graham Welding and see what he can come up with. He is very reasonable on prices. I really like the one Chris put together bacause it makes a shorter hook up. If you are wanting a quick and easy the one on Craigs list would work. I can still come by and give advice if needed.

Hey Dan, thanks so much yeah I would really appreciate you stopping by sometime when you get a chance!

I've been mainly working on the plow but got all I needed done so now its off to getting this mounting bracket started, key word "Started".
