If I am looking at that correctly, the main belt drives one of the spindles. And that spindle drives the timing belt which drives the second spindle.

If the issue is one blade not spinning, assuming its the blade that gets driven by the timing belt and not the one driving the timing belt.....could it be just a broken/thrown off/ stripped timing belt. That would cause the second spindle not to turn, but the first still being driven off the main v-belt??
