Well I just found out that the last wind storm took out a large tree on the top of my hill. Right into the neighbors yard! (he must be south for the winter, as he is the type to complain the next day) Anyway I went to get the big saw (the homelite XP1000, 30" bar) and it won't start. Its got spark, but not getting fuel. Ordered the rebuld kit for the carb, but I can't find a listing for the right spark plug for it. The one that was in it is a Champion # HO-8A and man is it ever a weird looking plug. Also was curious to how old this saw is. The ser. # is 1958651, are the first four #'s the year? This thing is a bear, but the tree is about 45" in diameter at the base, so I need something this big to cut it up. If anyone knows where to find the right plug for it please let me know. My neighbor won't be gone for much longer! Also would like to replace the air filter if possible.
