Need help tracing wires after mouse had dinner - L5240

Will try to post pic. I have a small loom near the starter with a single wire coming out and not sure where it goes.
There is a bigger loom above it that has a wire coming out that I think goes to fuel sending unit. Can anyone help confirm?

At the bottom of this pic you can see the loose wire coming out by the starter, no idea where it goes.

At top of pic you can see the big loom with a smaller loom coming out of it. Think it goes to the fuel sending unit since my gas gage stopped working but would appreciate if someone could confirm.

Bump. If someone could take the left side curtain off and peek at the wire terminations I would greatly appreciate it.

Yes for fuel sending unit, assuming mouse left anything left on the tank.

The wire by the starter I can't tell where it terminates to match anything...

I like your subject line. Some kind of critter has had dinner on my dash and chewed the wires off my idiot lights. I never figure out what they meant anyway so, I may not reconnect them.

The wire from the starter could have been going into the larger wiring harness. Just a guess but look very closely all the way around to see if the other end is inside the harness.

I don't know if you plan on doing any re-wiring. But if you do, I just stumbled upon this product, Posi locks for splicing wires. They also make Posi taps for tapping into wires. Both are sold on Amazon.
Good luck with the mouse problem. They just destroyed the air filter on the old lady's SUV.
