How many hours?
I just paid $9500 for a 1910 with loader and 80% turf tires. it had over 1500 hrs on it and the bucket is pretty beat.
My understanding is the 1920 has more features than the 1910.......

How did I forget that??

Approximating a 1995 model, that is not a bad price at all. Just the tractor is worth around $9500 to $10,500. Figure another $1,000 - $1500 for the FEL. Take is out and run in up to full temp. and put it through the paces first to see if any problems develop. If the tractor has been warmed up for you before you get there; walk away. The cold start is very important unless you want an "ether baby".

Well the guy is dropping the tractor off this weekend so I can run it.

Building a new house so I have plenty of FEL work to do w/it.
Borrowed a friends bush hog as well so I should be able to get a pretty good feel for the tractor.

The tractor's loader is sprung approx 1" however. You can hardly tell and need to look real close. Luckily the guy told me because I'm sure I would have missed it. He said he sprung it when he tried to pull a large tree down w/the loader up and pulling a side load.

Knowing this other than detaching the bucket what other issues could this present.(BTW I will try to remove the loader while I have it)

I'm also having Oil samples pulled on the entire tractor.

Thanks Again In Advance.

You have a REAL generous friend if he is willing to loan you a brush hog! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif If you do decide to purchase the tractor, do yourself a favor and change ALL fluids and filters so you start from a solid & known maintenance base line.

Chief,
I will for sure change all oils if I purchase.
The neat thing about SOS samples is they can tell you what is coming your way and give you a feel for the history of the unit. I recommend these to anyone with a diesel engine. I noticed you run a Cummins, do you have Oil samples taken? It is really cheap insurance and it's pretty cool to know what's going on inside the engine, drivetrain, and hydraulics.

damnyankee,

How do these oil samples work?

I am getting ready to buy a used F250/F350 Powerstroke and this might be the ticket /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
