Not sure if this is what you need, but on my Montana 2740 (gear driven) there is a dipstick behind and below the seat to the right of the PTO shaft which shows the level of oil in the transmission/finals, which is also the hydraulic reservoir, since all gear cases on the 2740 all contain UTF. (universal tractor fluid) Check this level with loader on the ground, bucket curled back and 3PT arms in the down position. Oil level should be maintained between the upper and lower lines on the stick. Change filter and all oil periodically. I think Montana recommends after 200 hours. All filters for mine were available at NAPA and 5 gallon buckets of UTF at Costco if you don't have a Montana dealer nearby. Hope this helps.....Dan.
