Buying Advice Need help deciding!

I have a two seater buggy (worth about $1000) that a guy on craigslist wants me to trade for his two simplicity garden tractors....i need help deciding if this deal is worth it, and if i restor these, am i going to be able to get money out of these?! He said they run except need batteries.....someone help!

Might break even if you are lucky. The first simplicity is worth something, even though the seat is missing and the hood needs replaced...............the second is a basic mower.

Honestly I tend to shy away from rebuild projects now unless it is something I am personally interested in having. I wouldn't try to restore/fix up for profit or resale, better to get a used tractor that is what you wan't directly rather than a round about approach. Seriously buy it once and buy it right is cheaper in the long run.
