Greetings, I just purchased a new Craftsman 48" garden tractor with bag attachment I believe is manufactured by Husqvarna. My previous tractor lasted 16 years and did a great job, the new tractor deck seems to have relatively little vacuum compared to my old one. Craftsman offers 2 sets of blades, bagging/discharge and mulching/discharge. I already have the bagging blades. Are there better 'Hi-Lift' blades available? thanks

I recently changed my D110 OEM blades for after-market 'Predator' blades and couldn't be more pleased.

I use Gator Blades for my side discharge deck. Cuts stuff up into little bitty pieces.

I bought Oregon brand Hi Lift blades from Agri-Supply for my 38" JD 240 maybe 5 years ago and have only sharpened them twice. Very good blades and Agri-Supply had the best prices. bjr

+1 on the Oregon "Gator" blades. I have used them on previous JD GT235 and present JD Z820A zero turn. I think that Oregon can cross reference from your OEM blades, they did on my JD Blade #s.

They really chop the grass very fine. I don't bag anything.

Whatever blades came stock on my Dixie chopper are good blades. They have 870 hours on them, and are hardly worn.
